“I am working in the Operational Excellence department, with a particular focus on planning the new plant in Tangier, Morocco.

During my internship, my main task was to document a process that was to be relocated to Morocco. I therefore mostly worked on it independently.

However, my day-to-day work also included communication with my colleagues. We had regular meetings to discuss the current status, clarify questions and discuss the next steps.”

“What I particularly liked about my work at Mubea was that I was immediately entrusted with a task that I could work on independently. 

This made me feel useful and it never got boring.

My colleagues were always very nice, open-minded and helpful. The working atmosphere was very pleasant and I always had the feeling that I could turn to my colleagues with questions without any problems. 

I also worked with an international team, which I particularly enjoyed.”

“The highlight of my internship was a business trip to Dolní, Czech Republic. 

I really enjoyed seeing a plant in another country and I am very grateful for the experience I was able to gain there.”

“I'm Nina, I'm studying International Management with a specialization in tourism at the University of Applied Sciences in Meschede and have been a working student at Mubea since February 2023.


I am currently working in the national HR department and take care of EU reporting obligations, provide information on process issues and am responsible for correspondence with HR departments in Germany and abroad.

I work two days a week alongside university, so it fits in well with my university timetable. 

In the course of my working day, I answer any questions that arise regarding the registration certificate by phone or email, apply for registration certificates and then fill them out. 

Depending on what's coming up, I have various meetings and create news articles, PowerPoint presentations or one-pagers on a wide range of topics. ”

“I particularly enjoy the challenge and variety. 

I deal with many different people from Germany and abroad and can therefore improve my language and communication skills. 

There's also always something to laugh about with my colleagues, which is why I'm always happy when I come into our office.

Mubea gives me the opportunity to continuously learn new things, which makes every day at work varied and therefore a lot of fun!”

“A great moment for me personally during my time as a working student was working on the process for EU registration certificates in Slovakia for our newly established plant in Kosice.

Another special highlight for me at Mubea is the various events that are organized every year. Last year, for example, there was a small Christmas market for all employees during the Christmas period, where everyone could come and meet colleagues from other departments.

The various factory tours were also special for me, as you get a great insight, see behind the scenes and get an understanding of exactly what is done at Mubea.”

“I have been working in the Mubea Rollbonding Products (MRP) department for about two years. 

Before studying mechanical engineering, I completed my apprenticeship as a toolmaker for stamping and forming technology at Mubea. As I am studying at the RWTH in Aachen, I mostly work from the Mubea Competence Center for Corporate Research and Engineering (CRE), which is located directly on the university campus. 

In addition to its own workshop, there is also a co-working space for the working students. At the moment, my main task is to plan and organize a large-scale series of tests in the production process of roll bonding. 

This includes checking and analyzing machine data, which I can view online. To ensure that the test series runs smoothly, it's also my job to liaise with all the departments involved, such as Production Planning and Supply Chain Management. 

At lunchtime, I go to the university canteen with the other working students here in Aachen. 

My tasks also include the independent planning, implementation and evaluation of preliminary tests. The practical activities are supplemented by literature research so that the knowledge gained also has a scientific basis. ”

“For me, the combination of theory and practice is one of the most outstanding features of working at Mubea. Often, a lot of the content taught at university is only taught on paper, so students can't really do anything with it. 

It's only when you put it into practice that you complete the knowledge that can be used in your future career. It's also great to be given responsibility for your own projects as a working student and not just be seen as a temp. 

Every working student can play an active role in shaping the work at Mubea and contribute their own ideas, which are also listened to. The CRE in Aachen in particular offers perfect opportunities for this. Here you have the opportunity to get to grips with things and put theoretical ideas into practice.”

“I would classify the assignments abroad during my time as a working student at Mubea as special highlights. 

As part of various projects, I had the opportunity to work at the plants in Cerkezköy, Turkey and Kosice, Slovakia. In my opinion, gaining experience abroad as a working student is one of the greatest opportunities you get here. 

My most outstanding moment at Mubea so far was definitely the completion of my Bachelor's thesis, which I was allowed to write here. From the design of the topic to the execution of the experiments and the final presentation, the work was very well supervised and accompanied throughout. After setting my goal, I had the opportunity to complete the task according to my own ideas. 

Due to the positive experience I had during my Bachelor's thesis, I will also be working on my Master's thesis with Mubea. ”

“As part of my student traineeship here at Mubea, I spend two days a week at the office in Attendorn and am currently working in process development in the Chassis Composites department. 

During the working days, I usually work on my own projects, which allows me to plan and structure my working day freely in terms of the projects. 

On the other days of the week, university is on the agenda for me. ”

“What I particularly enjoy about my working student job is the variety of my tasks, as I am involved in many processes. 

I particularly like it when I can work on my own projects over a longer period of time and drive them forward in collaboration with my colleagues.”

One highlight was definitely the business trip to a project partner as part of my bachelor's thesis written here at Mubea, where the work of several previous months came together. Here I was able to hold the final and promising result in my hands.

“Alongside my master's degree in mechanical engineering, I started working as a student trainee at Mubea Tailor Rolled Blanks GmbH in the Customer Project Management department in Attendorn in February 2022. My aim was to gain practical experience in the day-to-day work of a mechanical engineer during my studies. During the lecture periods, I worked two to three days a week, mainly in the Intralogistics department. During the semester breaks, Mubea offered me the opportunity to continue my activities in the department full-time.

My main tasks as a working student included working independently on various projects and providing support in day-to-day business. My typical daily tasks included CAD work, creating packaging specifications and preparing presentations.

In October 2023, I moved to Mubea Fahrwerksfedern GmbH in the System Components department to write my master's thesis in the field of research and development. I first worked in the department as an intern and then as a master's student. In my master's thesis, which is part of a current research project, I dealt with the development of a suspension component made from an innovative, completely polymer-based material combination. I worked on my master's thesis both at Mubea in Attendorn and at the University of Siegen.”

“What I liked about my working student position were the exciting and varied areas of responsibility along the entire value chain and the good working atmosphere in the department. In the Intralogistics department, I was given an overview of all current TRB projects in Germany and was able to contribute my ideas to many processes. 

I particularly enjoyed working on my own projects, where I was able to organize myself over a longer period of time and plan the approach. Regularly exchanging ideas with colleagues and getting their feedback helped me to gain new perspectives and successfully complete the projects.

As part of my Master's thesis, I was able to play an active role in the development of a polymer-based chassis component. I found the practice-oriented way of working particularly exciting, combined with the knowledge that no one had yet dealt with this topic using the current state of the art. The opportunity to gain new insights and drive the project forward with the aim of industrializing the component in the future motivated me throughout the entire project.”

“Special highlights at Mubea included the business trips to TRB production in Weißensee during my time as a working student and to the German Institutes for Textile and Fiber Research in Stuttgart as part of my master's thesis. These business trips gave me valuable insights into the production processes of the body parts and chassis components that I worked on at Mubea.

After my time as a working student, intern and master's student at Mubea, I'm looking forward to starting as a process engineer in the Chassis Composites department at Mubea Fahrwerksfedern GmbH in October.”

“I work in the Global Mobility area of our HR department.

My day usually starts at around 8 am. Thanks to flexitime, however, I can sometimes start earlier or later.

After I arrive at the office, I first check my e-mails and then work through the tasks. The tasks that arise can vary greatly.

From supporting our inpats and expats to creating OnePagers and presentations in English as well as team meetings on various topics, there is a lot involved.

I was also allowed to process invoices in SAP. There are always regular team meetings in our department so that everyone has an overview of each other's tasks and can discuss various topics.”

I particularly enjoy the contact with our employees from abroad, as I like to communicate in English and help them to settle in well at our location and in Germany in general.

“I found the factory tour interesting, where I was given an overview of production in the various automotive, e-mobility and u-mobility areas.

Another highlight for me was the contact with employees and service providers from different countries, which made my day-to-day work very varied.

Our team cohesion is also very good, so you get help immediately if you get stuck.”

I work in Central Purchasing at Mubea and am studying International Business and Management. I work as a student trainee twice a week on site in Attendorn. My day-to-day work involves carrying out analyses, supporting projects and attending supplier meetings.

I was also nominated as an SAP key user for indirect purchasing. In this role, I take on corresponding tasks and take part in our weekly key user meetings, where we discuss current topics.

I particularly enjoy the variety of my tasks. I appreciate being able to work independently and being involved in important projects as a working student. I also find it exciting to experience the entire purchasing process up close.

I would particularly like to highlight my participation in supplier meetings, which gave me valuable practical experience. Another highlight was the opportunity to attend a supplier visit in Holland, which gave me a comprehensive insight into international business relationships. 

I'm Marie, I'm studying German and European Business Law at the University of Siegen and I've been at Mubea since January 2023.
I currently work in HR at the Attendorn site and deal with health management issues. My tasks include maintaining the examination certificates of the AMZ (Occupational Health Centre). I also support several projects, such as organising and implementing the health days and other matters relating to health management.
 

In the course of my day-to-day work, I answer questions about the company medical examinations and create PowerPoint presentations on upcoming or new projects. This also includes researching and preparing the projects in advance and discussing them in various meetings.

Especially enjoyable is the exchange with my colleagues and the variety of different projects. You can contribute many ideas during the planning and implementation stages and are constantly in contact with other people. You always gain new insights and have the opportunity to develop yourself further.

A standout moment was the completion of the first Health Days and the positive feedback from the employees.
A special highlight was especially a factory tour, which provided an initial insight into the processes at Mubea.
